About the team

 

Right now, we have a permanent and fixed-term full-time opportunity for Contracts Administrators to join our Commercial Services Team (Rail) within Infrastructure and Place division. 

 

The Infrastructure and Place division partners with customer divisions to develop and deliver transport infrastructure that our customers and communities need with a specific focus on sustainability. You will have the opportunity to join our City and North and South and West Teams.

 

Commercial Services (Rail) provides support, strategic advice and best practice management in the development, procurement and commercial management of the Division’s rail delivery projects.  The team is agile in its approach to provide best for Transport outcomes and promote thought leadership to drive continuous improvement and professional development opportunities.

The opportunity

 

The Contracts Administrator is responsible for managing and supporting project contractual administration and internal processes as a valued member of the Commercial Team.  The role includes:

 

  • Evaluating, supporting and advising on all contractual matters.
  • Reviewing and administering payment claims.
  • Maintaining Commercial Registers.
  • Being responsible for initiating and drafting commercial correspondence.
  • Attending Project and Commercial meetings (external and internal).
  • Facilitating and managing Contractor Performance Reporting.
  • Managing securities and insurances.
  • Project record keeping.
  • Use of project systems and project management platforms.
  • Preparing approval documents in line with internal processes.

 

 

 

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role you will be highly motivated and tenacious, with good organisation skills and attention to detail. 

 

You will have excellent communication skills, and an ability to provide support to a team. 

 

You will have an analytical approach and ideally have strong written (English), financial and/or technical skills. 

 

You will also have a keen interest in contracts, construction and projects.
