The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Change and Communications Manager within the Corporate Services area of Sydney Metro, in a newly created Business Change and Communications team. This is a temporary fixed term role for 14 months (up to March 2023) and will be based in Sydney CBD, however there are flexible working arrangements. 

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, this role will develop and implement transition-related initiatives which support Sydney Metro’s Reform and Business-As-Usual cultural and development strategies. You will manage the development and implementation of employee communication strategies and plans that promote clear understanding of organisational change objectives and values.

 

In addition, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

 

  • Develop and lead change programs to support the vision, objectives and values of the organisation and its business reform strategies, programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and manage change and employee communications activities which encourage innovation, ensure best practice in employee communications, support reputational risk frameworks and are aligned to Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Assist in the establishment of the Business Change and Communication team including contribution to the team’s strategy and integration into the business.
  • Manage the development and production of communications materials, including involvement in the preparation, production and release of information, including but not limited to newsletters, presentation materials, and intranet releases and articles.
  • Manage the establishment of effective communications platforms that are flexible, responsive and can be targeted to the level, nature and type of audience for each type of communication ensuring that diverse communication activities remain aligned to and consistent with strategic and corporate communication principles and strategies.
  • Ensure the management and engagement and work of contractors and consultants engaged to support the delivery of change and communications initiatives is effective and complies with procurement guidelines.
  • Assist in the management of change activities across the business, providing varying levels of support where required.

About you


As the successful candidate you will be degree qualified in communications, marketing, or change management, or have relevant and demonstrated industry experience working on change communication projects.

 

You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, be naturally self-driven, and have exceptional stakeholder and time management capabilities.  As a communication or engagement professional you will have a sound understanding of negotiating, presenting and delivering communication materials to a wide group of stakeholders.

 
You will be agile, adaptable and capable of managing multiple projects that have competing priorities.

 

 

Salary and benefits
