In this role, you'll:
Be part of TfNSW’s Legal, Privacy and Internal Audit branch, working collaboratively across the organisation, partnering to provide critical legal advice and guidance for sensitive and complex legal matters to support the operations of Transport for NSW and other agencies in the transport portfolio. With close to 100 lawyers spread across 4 legal teams, we are one of the largest inhouse government legal departments in NSW. Specifically, this role involves providing advice on a range of general commercial contracts, in particular to the procurement team.
This is a 14 month temporary opportunity.

About you
You’re a commercial lawyer with strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely. For this role, we’re looking for someone with at least 2–3 years of post-qualification experience, who has a solid background in drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts. You should be familiar with the NSW Government’s goods and services procurement framework and consistently model the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct. A tertiary qualification in law and a current NSW practising certificate are essential.
