The opportunity

 

We have a new opportunity for a Release Management Specialist - Non Equip in the Technical Change and Release Management team. The role is ongoing full-time based in Macquarie Park.

 

You will be responsible for ensuring that all releases to information systems and related infrastructure including service assets are planned, tested and implemented into a live environment to enable a controlled and effective handover to operational management and the user community with minimal disruption to the

business.

 

 

What you will be involved in:

 

  • Evaluate all requests for subsequent release packages to determine the impact and assess whether the change and release will adversely affect the operational environment and introduce unacceptable risk.
  • Provide effective control and reduction of risk to the availability, performance, security and compliance of the business service impacted by the change.
  • Review and evaluate actual performance and outcomes of new or modified services against the predicted performance and outcomes to verify the release was successful.
  • Conduct the logging, prioritisation and assessment of subsequent releases to comply with change and release management policies to minimise risk to the business.
  • Apply automation processes to improve the efficiency and quality of releases Log emergency and verify that these are appropriately assessed and authorised to create an audit trail for change.
  • Conduct Post Release Implementation Reviews to identify, document and implement the learnings.

About you

 

To be successful in the role you will have:

 

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the latest technologies, standards, and practices associated with release and change management.
  • Project delivery experience in Service NOW, Cloud Integration, TIBCO and HPQC.
  • Proven experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle and the interactions between contributing roles.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to research and analyse complex information, identify risks and opportunities and plan and develop mitigation strategies to drive performance.
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills to take appropriate action to develop strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

 

 

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 8 ($120,423.00 - $ 134,872.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
