Senior Software Engineer - ABAP (Temporary Opportunity up to 12 months)

In this role, you'll:

Be a key contributor to a high performing team within our Corporate IT Portfolio, Product Technology Business Unit working on critical initiatives and projects in our SAP ERP system.

Be responsible for guiding a team of Developers and Vendors, in Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (WRICEF), Fiori, Core Data Services(CDS) and Restful Application Programming (RAP) based Development for the project. You will ensure designs changes are fit for purpose and aligned to standards, overseeing assurance reviews and approvals. You will act as a point for technical escalations during system integration. A key focus will also be to address security during systems development and apply secure development improvement practices.

12 month Fixed Term Full Time opportunity based at Macquarie Park home office | Hybrid work - Wednesday is your office anchor day, but please note office days could extend up to 5 days a week depending on project requirements.

About you

You are an experience professional having worked in a similar capacity before, in the design and development of SAP Applications within complex environments. Ideally you’ve worked in Agile & Test Driven Development practises. You will be a big picture thinker and enjoy complex problem solving. Key to your success in this role will be your demonstrated ability to communicate and present research and solutions to large forums. You possess expertise in:

• Design and development of SAP Applications

• In (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (WRICEF), Fiori, Core Data Services(CDS), Restful Application Programming (RAP) based Development.

• Expertise in ABAP HR, Payroll related custom developments. Good knowledge of PA, PD frameworks.

• Agile & Test Driven Development practises

• BTP developments highly desired.

• Ability to validate technical designs and other artefacts for compliance to Transport Standards and Guidelines.

• Ability to validate technical objects for performance, scalability, maintainability, security parameters.

• Managing and co-ordinating with different teams and technical assurance.
