In this role, you'll:


Joining Sydney Trains' Network Maintenance team, this role will see you have the opportunity to work across and gain experience in a wide range of disciplines providing complex data analytics to forecast the reliability of Sydney Trains Civil/Signals/Electrical/Operational Technology infrastructure throughout its lifecycle.
Reporting to the Senior Manager Network Reliability you will champion infrastructure relaibility/performance improvements through the implementation of reliability systems, processes and initiatives across Maintenance. You will also lead business case development and project scoping for the implementation of reliability improvement pojects, map and analyse current processes for performance improvment opportunities across all disciplines, failure reporting, trend analysis and detailed Root Cuase Analysis for the network.

About you


You will have tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical engineering, or,  tertiary quakifications and experience in at least one of the following disciplines witihin an engineering team (Civil, Track, Signals, Electrical or Operational Technology). Advantageous to this role would be experience within a railway infrastructure maintainer/operator with responsibility for the delivery of a safe and reliable rail network or other distributed infrastructure operations and maintenance environment.


You will have demonstrated experience in the application of reliability engineering techniques of root cause analysis along with an understanding of reliability block diagrams, Weibull analysis and RCA processes and have maintenance enterprise asset management system experience (SAP, Ellipse, Maximo) coupled with high level analysis, measurement, statistical modelling skills and reporting of infrastructure reliability.


You are proactive in data analysis to identify failure trends with the ability to work collaboratively with the maintenance and operation teams.


You will have good oral and written communication skills and experience in producing written performance or KPI reports and business recommendations.
