In this role, you'll:


Be part of the Sydney Trains Engineering and Maintenance branch in Engineering System Integrity (ESI), who help keep Sydney moving by providing design, engineering and assurance integrity services.


You will produce complex, multi-discipline design projects for overhead wiring (OHW) and provide best practice engineering advice to Sydney Trains and external clients, ensuring safety and reliability of the OHW infrastructure throughout the asset lifecycle. This will see you have responsibilities that extend from design through to maintenance, as well as providing on-site support during construction.


This role provides an opportunity to develop your skills and gain a holistic view of the different stages involved in the overhead wiring cycle, from design through to maintenance and construction.

About you


You have experience in delivering Overhead Wiring designs as well as tertiary qualifications in Electrical or equivalent engineering with proven experience in design or maintenance in the relevant engineering discipline.


Your knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to OHW designs and understanding of risk assessments, asset management and reliability will see you excel in delivering OHW design projects to a high standard.


 You’re recognised as an exceptional communicator, with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.


This position is located at Clyde, right now it is a Hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home mixed with days in the office. There is a requirement for you to also work on-site at times across various locations in the Sydney Trains network, therefore flexibility is key.
