In this role, you'll:

 

Be working as part of the Engineering & System Integrity team. This role will see you perform Overhead Wiring (OHW) designs, including complex multi-discipline design projects, and provide best practice engineering advice to Sydney Trains and external clients which maximises the safety and reliability of the rail network.

 

You'll be in an exciting, diverse role involved in the whole life cycle of overhead wiring and as such will have exposure to the construction environment and various emergency situations.

About you

 

You will have a tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent coupled with previous experience in Overhead Wiring (OHW) design and 1500V DC feeding arrangements. Additional experience in construction / maintenance / commissioning activities will be highly regarded.

 

You will have a sound understanding of risk assessments, asset management and reliability and possess exceptional communication skills that will allow you to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.

 

You will also have an interest in exploring new technologies in the market.

 

This position does have a requirement for you to work on-site as well as attend occasional weekend possessions, therefore flexibility is key.
