In this role, you'll:


• Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on tunnel infrastructure, including electrical distribution, and ITS equipment.


• Conduct functional checks and preventive maintenance on tunnel systems to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.


• Troubleshoot and repair faults in tunnel electrical infrastructure, fire and life safety systems, and ventilation equipment.


• Supervise junior technicians, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure work meets required specifications and standards.


• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, maintenance activities, and system performance.


• Provide rapid on-call response within a two-hour timeframe for urgent fault repairs.


• Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, technical guidelines, and operational procedures.

About you


• Strong technical expertise in electronic equipment, instrumentation, and high-voltage systems, with experience in calibration and testing.


• Proven ability to install, maintain, and repair ITS equipment, electrical distribution and tunnel fire and life safety systems.


• Competence in managing electronic and paper-based record-keeping systems for maintenance and compliance.


• Valid Electrical Contractor License or Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical).


• HV switching certification with hands-on experience in HV switching operations and safety protocols.


• Certification in Cert IV Instrumentation and Cert IV Hazardous Areas.


• Current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver's license, with flexibility to work outside regular hours and travel when required.


• Availability for on-call duty, with the ability to provide a two-hour response to tunnel-related issues.


• Prior experience in roads, highways, or tunnels is preferred but not essential.
