In this role, you'll:
Ensure the project specifications and work plan requirements are followed and implemented. The role will complete and maintain records that demonstrate that processes are carried out and verified according to project documentation. The role may be required to carry out duties of a Road Worker Grade 3 as required.
The Works Assistant Grade 3 (PQR) Project Quality Representative will be responsible for:
- Working under limited supervision either in a team environment or working independently, performing a wide range of advanced non-trades functions which have been acquired through experience or formal training to specified standards and tolerances.
- Checking work activities are completed to quality specifications by following established procedures, performing measurements to confirm quality both during and on completion of work, comparing results to engineering plans and contract requirements, and completing required records.
- Solving routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals, and collaborating with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to minimise risks and achieve work goals.
- Understanding and maintaining knowledge of WHS legislation, policies and procedures, assessing and controlling risks, records management and industry requirements to minimise risk and model safe work behaviour.

About you:
You’ll also have a sound understanding and demonstrated experienced in Spray Sealing design.
You are passionate about safety and quality assurance, with an understanding of work procedures and guidelines, and possess an attention to detail that is dedicated to the success of our final product.
You will be a skilled communicator who has experience in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders and working on an onsite team environment.
You are a self-starter and are able to plan and organise your work effectively, completing a variety of tasks including checking safety and quality, entering information into systems, and undertaking a range of other administrative processes. Ability in using literacy and numeracy skills to complete work records.
The successful candidate will have experience operating at a Road Worker Grade 3 level or relevant trade background and will possess a Construction Industry Certification (White Card) and a current unrestricted NSW drivers licence. Traffic Controllers Tickets (Blue and Yellow Tickets).
As this role supports a variety of work in regional NSW travel will be required. You will therefore be required to work outside normal working hours and travel to various regional and remote work locations away from home.
TfNSW take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously therefore to be eligible for this role it is a requirement that you must reside within a 100 km distance from Bega depot.
