About Transport Shared Services
 
Transport Shared Services (TSS) partners with other teams of Corporate Services to provide tools, processes and systems that enable the Transport Cluster to operate effectively.  We aim to make our services relevant and easy to use, to make our processes seamless and fully digital. We apply innovation and technology to provide insight data analytics to enable clients to be ahead of the curve. Our services cover a broad range from Finance to Procurement, from People to Workplace Services.

The opportunity
 
Right now we have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Financial Accountant specialising in Lease Accounting to manage complex Lease Accounting services for the Transport Cluster agencies.
 
Key aspects of this role will include;


•    Manage high quality complex lease accounting services to the Transport Cluster. 
•    Ensure the integrity of the data in the General Ledger including undertaking complex reconciliations and provide value add to client agencies in formulating recommendations to improve the financial management processes and practices of the agencies. 
•    Assist the Senior Financial Accountants in collaboration with Transport Group Finance and Investment, divisions and operating entity finance teams, other TSS finance teams and COE to ensure that any potential gaps in systems and processes are addressed to ensure sound financial management practices for Transport Cluster agencies. 
•    Ensure month end and year end processes are effective and meet TfNSW Group Finance and Investment and operating entity strict requirements. 
•    Provide advice on financial accounting and systems innovations to contribute to the efficiency, seamless financial management practices to the Cluster Agencies 
•    Achieve the required shared services performance levels in terms of customer satisfaction, risk management, efficiency and effectiveness of accounting services provided. 
•    Contribute to a culture of knowledge and information sharing and continuous learning in the team, and drive ongoing improvements to accounting operations by improved processes, systems and the knowledge base.

About you
 
A proven track record in delivering month end activities including Lease Accounting in a large and complex operating environment with previous SAP experience and appropriate formal qualifications will be essential.
 
Key to the success of this role will be building strong working relationships and collaborate with various teams to provide fit for purpose and sustainable solutions to enable the clients to achieve their business outcomes for Transport.
 


Salary and Benefits
