The opportunity

 

A permanent, full time Lead Specialist role is now open to applicants.

 

Transport are building their Red Team capability and you will be involved with the architecture and testing of web and network applications. The role will deliver, monitor, and evaluate cyber defence, risk and resilience services in order to reduce cyber and technology risk across the Transport cluster and support achievement of organisational objectives.  

 

This will involve discovering vulnerabilities within in-house and externally created applications, testing and verifying security controls, interacting with other teams to respond to discovered vulnerabilities and taking ownership of project tasks until completion. 

 

There is also a Threat Intelligence component to this role, with dedicated time to vulnerability research on certain high-value applications

 

You will:

 

  • Undertake regular red team exercises to identify gaps in people, processes, and technologies 
  • Identifying and advising on security requirements for business processes, applications, and products to ensure that Transport continues to be protected against current and emerging threats 
  • Dedicate time to vulnerability research on certain high-value applications or systems 
  • Identifying and undertaking complex research and analysis of relevant cyber threat actors 
  • Using analytical tools and techniques to analyse cyber intelligence and threats. Preparing and delivering briefs and cyber threat intelligence reports 
  • Consult relevant internal and external expertise, research and analysis, in order to measurably reduce cyber and technology risk within agencies and across the cluster      
  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners in the provision of services to support the achievement of organisational objectives

About you

 

You are an engaging and consultative senior-level professional able to demonstrate knowledge of existing and emerging technologies and the ability to practically apply them to achieve targeted business outcomes.  You will work across the Cyber Defence Team as well as the Infrastructure teams and traditional IT groups within TfNSW.

 

You will have a skill set that is as broad as it is deep, the ability to problem solve is important and you will have a curious nature. This is an opportunity to join a developing, high performing team.

Salary and Benefits

 

This is a Transport Senior Service Manager role. An attractive remuneration package will be determined with the successful candidate.
