About us

At Sydney Trains, our rail services keep Sydney moving by putting our customers at the centre of everything we do. We work with our local communities to deliver safe, timely and efficient rail services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our trains and network are evolving to meet the needs of our customers now and well into the future. We’re continuing to integrate technological innovations that help us deliver a smarter and more sustainable network.

About the team

The Engineering and Maintenance Interface (EMI) Team is the single point of contact into Sydney Trains for all core TfNSW cluster and third party (non-rail organisation) projects, providing project management and interface solutions. The primary purpose of this unit is to interface between Sydney Metro, TfNSW, External Third Parties and Sydney Trains ensuring the key stakeholder interests are considered and in turn ensuring no adverse impact to system or asset safety or network reliability and availability.

The EMI Team is here to support, guide and help external stakeholders (Sydney Metro/TfNSW/third parties) throughout the lifecycle of their project, from initiation through to handover.  The Team is also here to protect Sydney Train’s and Transport Asset Holding Entity (TAHE) interests, operations and infrastructure, and ultimately supporting Sydney Train’s vision to keep Sydney moving by delivering safe, customer-focused, and reliable rail services.

The EMI Team resides in the Asset Management Division within the Sydney Train Engineering and Maintenance Branch.
