About the Team


The Strategy, Portfolio and Investment (SPI) branch leads Sydney Trains Enterprise Strategy and Planning, Investment Management, Enterprise Portfolio Management, the Network Growth Portfolio, Reporting and Analytics, and Transformation. It provides best practice project management services across the business while delivering large scale, enterprise wide programs of work to achieve the long-term strategic objectives of Sydney Trains.


The Opportunity


Right now, we have fixed term opportunity (to Dec 2023) for a Risk Specialist to join us in the Strategy, Portfolio & Investment branch of Sydney Trains. The primary purpose of the role is to provide professional risk management advice and services to business customers in order to deliver and promote consistent and integrated risk management practices across the organisation to ensure regulatory compliance.


This role will see you work with the business to prepare and review risk management plans, reports and assessments and deliver risk-based services to support, inform and improve business decision making.

About You


You are a passionate professional working within a systems safety management, operational safety risk, or business risk management environment. You will be comfortable operating with autonomy, providing information and advice and liaising, consulting and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.


Experience working in a large, complex organisation managing large programs of work will prove beneficial to your success.


Salary and benefits


The salary for this position is RC 7 Grade ($143,555 - $157,945) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
