Software Engineer - Tech Lead

In this role, you'll:
Play a key role in supporting the delivery of major projects such as the high-priority Rail Timetable Solution (RTS) Program, system decommissioning projects, and upgrades or integrations of critical systems.

Drive solution design, testing, and implementation by providing technical input to Solution Architects, Service Owners, Technical Service Providers and Product Owners.

Negotiate solutions to conflicts and impacts between critical business systems across a variety of technologies and delivery teams.

Contribute to continuous improvement of products, solutions, and processes using Azure DevOps, ITIL, and Agile practices in a collaborative environment.

About you
•Proven experience leading application change programs with a focus on Rail Timetable integrations.

•Strong technical expertise in analysis, design, and coordination of technical delivery across multiple teams.

•Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, ITIL frameworks, and Agile methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

•Solid understanding of Oracle DB architecture and integration points (highly desirable).

•Proficiency in Java development, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications.

•Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with experience working closely with cross-functional teams including Solution Architects and Product Owners.

•Demonstrated experience to negotiate with outsource technical delivery partners for quality and cost-effective project outcomes.

•Demonstrated ability to provide responsive production support and resolve service delivery issues effectively.

•Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
