The opportunity

Right now, we have a permanent opportunity for a Specialist - IT Risk to join our IT Risk and Assurance Team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing, implementing and improving risk management processes and providing Line 2 risk support to a range of stakeholders across TfNSW IT.

 

Your Key accountabilities are:

  • Contribute to building and implementing an effective Line 2 IT risk management function and support stakeholders by educating, advising and ensuring compliance with TfNSW risk management requirements.
  • Provide expert advise to stakeholders around the identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring, management and reporting of IT risks.
  • Support risk reporting processes to ensure appropriate visibility of IT risks to help drive risk remediation and controls improvement.

About you

You have expertise in Information Technology risk management and have a solid understanding of IT Operations and Cyber Security.  You possess a solid understanding of Risk concepts and methodologies; and are a resilient and tenacious self-starter thriving in a complex and fast moving IT environment.

 

You will be an excellent communicator and influencer, with the ability to engage with key business stakeholders to convey the necessity of a robust risk management system and its benefits to the organisation and be able to problem solve to help manage risks across multiple IT areas.

 

Salary and benefits

The salary for this position is a Grade 9A ($135,898) – 9E ($152,204) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading.
