In this role, you'll:


You will be a crucial part of our Major Works Engineering team. Major Works delivers maintenance, renewal (and some capital works) on the metropolitan railway assets and this role will see you utilise your previous experience to sit within the electrical function of this testing and commissioning team.


The role also offers the opportunity to work on new, emerging technology that improves and enhances our network whilst joining an inclusive and diverse team.


You will utilise your previous experience working as an Electrical Project Engineer to work on testing and commissioning activities across the business, keeping our projects running on time, to scope and to budget whilst ensuring our railways are safe for both our teams and our customers.

About you


You will be safety-minded and facilitate a supportive work environment, leading by example to deliver a high standard of work for our customers. The role will require making essential decisions in line with legislation and being a confident and clear communicator.
Ideally, you will come from a background in either substations or mains electrical distribution and will have a technical appreciation of how that works.
You will have a range of project management skills, such as being able to develop estimates, prepare schedules whilst managing budgets, and produce status reports.
You will preferably hold an Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics degree.
