In this role, you'll:


work with the Major Works Delivery Team within which has a proud history of delivering internal and external projects. The team works closely with our Finance, Operations and Asset Management business partners who together provide a supportive group of managers and project professionals focused on enabling individual development and knowledge sharing to ensure both individual and team success.

 

The Project Manager role presents an excellent opportunity for professional development including scope for career progression through exposure to a broad range of technologies and projects.

 

Opportunities to interface with major transport projects and deliver leading technology solutions across established varied programs.

 

You will Manage assigned projects from inception to completion within time and budget constraints, ensuring work is completed to acceptable standards.

 

You would be required to have your finger on the pulse and monitor progress of the projects across the time, cost and quality parameters, while keeping an eye out for any potentials risks and a mitigation plan thereof. You would liaise with internal and external stakeholders while adhering to Sydney Trains environmental policy and procedures in the carrying out of projects in order to minimise the impact of Sydney Trains business on the environment

About you


Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to deliver a diverse and challenging range of projects within a dynamic and complex organisation? We’re looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm and a fresh view of operational technology to rail. Our aim is to foster a diversity of thought within our team. Bring your balance of technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to working collaboratively with our close-knit team. You will be able to establish relationships across broad stakeholder groups and enjoy communicating with your key stakeholders on a regular basis.
 
In addition to the above, you possess:
 
• Proven experience managing telecommunications projects within the rail industry.


• Strong track record of scoping and estimating for complex, high-value infrastructure or technology projects.


• Demonstrated leadership of project teams, including engineering, commercial, safety, and technical disciplines alongwith excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.


• Deep understanding of safety and risk management in rail or high-risk environments.


• Practical experience working within or adjacent to the rail corridor, with relevant certifications would be highly regarded


• Proficiency in project tools including P6, SAP, Lotus Notes, and risk management software.
