Business Systems and Compliance Coordinator

In this role, you'll:
Implement and oversee operational and quality systems at Fleet Maintenance, ensuring procedures, technical documentation, work practices, facilities, and tooling are consistently monitored and maintained to relevant standards.
Develop and improve business system documentation. Implement process improvements through coaching and support to our staff across Fleet Maintenance.
Monitor compliance with processes to ensure our practices exceed compliance obligations while achieving safe and reliable train maintenance services for Sydney Trains and NSW Trains.
Manage and maintain risk registers for the maintenance team, ensuring critical risk controls are monitored and audited for effectiveness. Conduct audits, incident investigations, and workplace inspections as required by depot standards, and track all actions through the approved action management system.
Monitor the delivery of corrective and preventive actions to ensure improvement objectives are achieved in line with planned timelines.
Execute safety responsibilities and accountabilities in accordance with Sydney Trains’ safety management system, as outlined in document SMS-02-RG-3058.
Please note that this role is operationally focused and requires onsite attendance, the role does allow some flexibility and the ability to work remotely on occasion.

About you
- Tertiary qualification in science, environmental management, or engineering is essential.
- Proven experience in developing and managing operational management systems in a large and complex heavy industry, with strong skills in compliance monitoring and reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting audits, investigations, and safety inspections, and managing resulting actions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, SAP Enterprise asset Management.
- Strong skills in data analytics, reporting, and auditing to develop and sustain robust systems and practices.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, with a proven capacity to work effectively within and across teams.
- Willingness to travel to various sites across our network as required.
- Self driven with the ability to manage your workload, priorities and take initiative
