Logistics Manager

In this role, you'll:

Lead the provision of services and support maintenance operations within the Sydney Trains, Flemington Maintenance Centre where you will excel by acting as the principal fleet support services advisor to the on-site Fleet Manager, while also managing the supply chain, material warehouse, logistics, and ensuring all materials are correctly managed, controlled, stored, whilst maintaining the highest level of safety throughout all the on-site stores locations for your team.
This is a highly varied role where you will be responsible for several service support aspects, including stock management, procurement of non-stock materials, the provision of high quality, responsive supply chain planning and delivery of support services to the Fleet Maintenance Centre. Hand in hand with this, you will ensure the highest level of customer service and support is delivered to your stakeholders, through consistent communication, collaboration and support to ensure material availability for daily maintenance related tasks and activities.

About you

Your supply chain and logistics skills will see you excel in this leadership role. You will lead your on-site service support team of up to 7 staff to success, previous warehouse management experience is essential. You will have previous experience utilising SAP and reporting in an inventory and warehouse environment. Knowledge and understanding of supply chain operations and effectively managing and communicating with stakeholders is imperative for you to be successful in this role.
This is an in person on site role – and effectively managing your work-life balance will be critical to achieving success in this role. It is preferable for you to hold a forklift license but not essential. The successful applicant should be aware that the official title of this role is due to change shortly to 'Services Support Coordinator', however the role requirements will remain the same.
We have 2 positions available, one in Flemington Maintenance Centre and one in Mortdale Maintenance Centre.
