Truck Driver (MR General)

In this role, you'll:

• Operate Light and Medium Rigid vehicles (with a GVM of greater than 4.5 tonnes)
• Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow.
• Carry out general road worker labouring duties of a Road Worker Grade 3
• Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when not operating the Truck.
• Perform required truck checks and routine maintenance on the trucks you operate.
• Participate in team meetings contributing to continuous improvement for WH&S.

In addition to the above, there may be requirements to work outside of normal working hours and away from home.

About you:

We are looking for an experienced Truck Driver who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees while operating in a high speed, high traffic volume environment.

We are seeking those that reside within a 100 km distance from the Glen Innes depot or willing to relocate as you will be on call when required.

You will have the following tickets and experience:

• White Card
• Medium Rigid Driver Licence
• Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district.
• A strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility
• Traffic Control Certification (Implement Traffic Control)

A higher class of truck licence will be ideal but not essential.
