The Division  

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.  

 

The opportunity

We now have an amazing opportunity for a professional and well organised Program Officer to join our Community & Place Branch. This role will provide high-quality business services to support the implementation of systems, processes, administrative, reporting functions, and initiatives to enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the

Local Government team.

 

What you will be involved in

The successful candidate will support the financial grants administration of local government funding initiatives managed by Transport for NSW. This role will be responsible for the administrative and reporting functions of the unit which enable effective financial management and program governance activity.  This includes;

 

  • Providing a range of business performance reports to inform management decision making on meeting operational objectives and legislative requirements
  • Providing accurate and timely financial procurement to manage the ongoing delivery of government funded initiatives
  • Providing advice and support on the development and maintenance of records management, reporting and archiving systems to ensure compliance with operational requirement
  • Maintaining effective and efficient business systems, processes, and procedures to align with the agency’s commitment to continuous improvement

 

The role will work in collaboration with Program Coordinators, Managers, Stakeholders, Business Partners and with colleagues across the Division, to provide accurate information and program management support.

 

About you

In order to be successful in this role you would need to have strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to be flexible and manage priorities across a complex program portfolio.  We are looking for a motivated team member with highly-developed administrative skills.  This includes an ability to effectively communicate with key internal stakeholders to manage business reporting requirements.

 

You will also have:

Ideally the candidate will have demonstrated experience in a support role and/or relevant experience in financial procurement.  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or SAP will be highly regarded to facilitate effective tracking, reporting and analysis of program data.

Salary and Benefits

 Transport Grade 6 ($94,879 - $104,367) + Super
