In this role, you’ll: 

 

  • Be working as part of a diverse and inclusive Southwestern Bridges team delivering key projects including Bridge construction and maintenance across Southwest NSW.
  • You will safely carry out the trade activities and other duties relevant to maintaining bridges and drain structures that will require experience with steel and concreting.
  • Undertake the duties of a Bridge worker Grade 4 when required
  • This position will require you to be away from home for 90% of the time, however, you will be paid a living away from home allowance that is tax free.

 

This is an ongoing full-time role based in Hay NSW.

About you:

 

  • We’re seeking a Trade qualified Carpenter with excellent communication skills that enjoys working towards delivering results in a team environment.
  • You hold a Carpentry Licence/Trade Certificate - Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent.
  • You can identify and report safety and environmental hazards in the workplace and rectify those without direction and report accordingly.
  • You will also have the capability to achieve quality standards and follow established quality procedures within the scope of training provided in the role.

 
Finally, you hold a current Construction Industry White Card, a current driver’s licence, and can work outside normal working hours, attend callouts, travel across the region, and stay away from home when needed.

 

Whilst not essential, working at Heights and Confined Space certification will be desirable.

 

We take the WH&S of our employees seriously therefore to be successful in this role the successful applicant will be required to live within a 100 km radius or willing to relocate to the Hay Works Depot.

 

Relocation assistance is available subject to meeting requirements.
