In this role, you'll:


Support the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure in Regional NSW, the Western Riverina region (South West NSW). We have the following vacancies available:

• x1 permanent position
• x1  Full time Temporary Fixed Term position  until 15/12/2025

The role is Monday - Friday, 9am-4pm or 7am-3pm - 8 hours a day.

Main Duties:
• Perform maintenance and manual labouring tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools.
• Undertake road maintenance activities which may include, but not limited to, pavement repairs, road corridor maintenance, road pavement rehabilitation, and small and heavy patching works.
• participate in regular toolbox talks that focus on contiinuous improvement in Workplace Heath and Safety
• Travel extensively throughout the region to attend worksites including attending call outs where required.

About you


You will live within a 50 km radius to the Hay Works Centre and are prepared to work outside normal working hours, attend callouts and work away from home when needed. 

You are a team-oriented worker who has an eye for detail and is used to working in similar environments. You are a practical thinker, quick learner and great communicator who enjoys being physically active performing outdoor manual tasks involving the use of hand tools and equipment within a team setting.    

You must hold the following tickets/ licences:
• White Card
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence
• Traffic Control Tickets implement Traffic Control Plan / Workers On Foot (preferred but not essential as training will be provided within the first 3 months of employment)
