In this role, you'll:
You will be an essential member of the Facilities Management team as a District Maintenance Coordinator based within the CBD & Inner west region. The home base depot is Central Station, Haymarket, however the role requires travel within the CBD & Inner west geographical area.
Reporting to the CBD & Inner west Regional Maintenance Manager, the District Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring facilities maintenance assets are maintained to customer, WHS and Sydney Trains standards and requirements.
This role acts as the primary operational interface of Facilities Management team across the station and precinct environment to coordinate and deliver the provision of end to end preventative and corrective maintenance services to meet the needs of stakeholders. Being able to coordinate swift action and work under pressure to keep our assets running and accessible for the people of NSW.

About you
You will be a self-starter who can take initiative to think ahead and foresee potential future issues. In addition, the role involves:
• Acting as the primary operational customer access point to ensure all assets within a Region or District are maintained to agreed standards.
• Proactively identify and instigate appropriate actions to resolve problems or issues with all assets by notifying the appropriate Facilities Management Service team, referring to an approved service provider or to an Asset Maintainer to repair or maintain assets as required.
• Managing the delivery of maintenance services as specified in Technical Maintenance Plans.
• Managing maintenance work through all phases including planning, the development of scoping and delivery to produce high quality maintenance outcomes that meet project objectives and comply with Sydney Trains and Government procurement, probity and administration standards.
• Effectively manage contractors and service providers to deliver maintenance services by specifying scope of works, briefing contractors, monitoring performance, ensuring completion and quality of work that meets agreed objectives that align to organisational requirements.
You will have prior experience dealing with internal teams and external contractors, ensuring their work on maintaining our assets is up to the standard for our local communities. Experience with asset management tools and auditing systems is desirable. Having a trade qualification or background or the equivalent demonstrative experience in building works or facilities management is essential.
You will be required to travel across the region and therefore it is essential you hold a full NSW driver’s license. You will have the ability to provide 24/7 on-call and call-out support.
