In this role, you'll:
Work within our Standards and Competence Team within the People Planning and Capability Branch of NSW Trains, with a focus on the functional design of materials used for capability development training that is delivered to NSW Trains employees.
This role will see you as an Instructional Designer work with specialists in the business to help you create the content and design the training material and manuals that will meet and maintain standards and regulations for our staff to remain skilled, safe and customer focused.
You will provide subject expertise regarding capability development for leaders and staff in NSW Trains. This will also see you spend some of your time, facilitating training in specific areas for business groups and external organisations to ensure that people develop and maintain required capabilities.

About you
Your demonstrated and strong experience in Instructional Design will have seen you deliver projects from conception through to implementation within a highly regulated environment.
You’re recognised as having a minimum trainer and assessor skillset or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the willingness to obtain this.
You will be comfortable in a role that will see you act as both the trainer and the functional designer of the materials with majority of your time spent in Instructional Design work.
This is an Award RC5 Temporary Fixed Term Full-Time role for up to 20 months, based in Sydney, with consideration for Regional based candidates, with flexibility through our cutting-edge hybrid working model!. The requirement for regional candidates will be to attend the Sydney office – minimum 5 days per month.
