In this role, you'll:
Multiple Fixed term full time opportunities are on offer for Mechanical Project Officers working onsite at the Crashlab site in Huntingwood Sydney NSW.
Reporting to the Program Coordinator this role will be responsible for conducting hands-on mechanical preparation of test items and contributing to safety performance assessments of vehicles and road safety related product in accordance with the research and commercial requirements of Crashlab.
Primary responsibilities include testing of vehicles and roadside furniture installations; maintenance of equipment and crash test dummies and supporting research programs for the TfNSW Centre for Road Safety.

About you
To be considered for this role it is essential that you possess a recognised Certificate III-IV Trade Qualification and/or an Advanced Diploma in an automotive or mechanical engineering related field. You must also hold a current and valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and possess a willingness to work outside of regular working hours on occasion.
You must be able to work as part of a team in a highly technical environment and be highly organised, have a strong attention to detail and be committed to embedding safe work practices in everything you do.
The successful candidate will have a competent level of computer literacy in the MS Office suite and a familiarity with using databases. A conversant knowledge of digital drafting/modelling systems such as CAD would also be an advantage.
You will have a demonstrated ability to problem solve and seek solutions when approaching new and unfamiliar technologies.
