In this role, you'll:
Be a key part of Sydney Trains’ Engineering & Maintenance team, dedicated to maintaining safe and reliable services.
You will respond to train derailments and collisions, supporting rapid recovery operations across the Sydney Trains metropolitan network and across NSW.
Your role will be to operate and drive heavy vehicles, including semi-trailers, to transport essential equipment to incident sites. You’ll conduct maintenance and repairs on recovery equipment, ensuring it’s ready for emergency use.
You’ll be required to work onsite at Lidcombe from 6 AM to 2 PM, Monday to Friday, and be on-call for after-hours incidents as required.

About you
You hold a valid MR Class (Heavy Vehicle) Licence (HR preferred). You’re also physically fit for heavy lifting and physical work in the field.
You’re recognised as a reliable team player, you’re proactive and skilled in communicating and working under pressure.
You also have experience or the ability to maintain and repair plant and equipment and ideally, within a rail environment.
