About the Team


The Safety, Environment and Regulation (SER) division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.


The Health & Safety (Assurance) team and this vacancy is positioned within SER.  The Audit team sits in the Health & Safety Assurance team, and support the Assurance team by conducting audits to ensure compliance to the Safety Management System.



The opportunity


Right now, we have an opportunity for an Audit Coordinator whose responsibility is to support the Audit Team by participating in audits assisting with administration, action management and following up on findings of the division, the scope is across all Divisions within TfNSW.


The role administers and supports assurance activities and systemic safety investigations throughout Transport and liaises with industry partners and other service providers to manage the efficient and effective operation of the Safety Management System.

About you


We are looking for a team player who has excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders including Transport for NSW staff, Contractors and Regulatory authorities


Resilience and tenacity are key attributes required for this role due to the nature of the role.


You will have systems based audit experience and have ideally completed lead auditor training in addition to holding a Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.


Strong administrative and clerical skills, a good eye for detail and the ability to assist with tools and templates are essential to enable you to support the whole assurance team by triaging incidents and undertaking action management and following up on findings.


The audit team are required to travel across NSW to conduct audits so you will need to be available to do this and you must have a NSW Driver’s Licence.

Salary and Benefits


The salary for this position is Transport Grade 7 ($106,086 - $118,816) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
