About Group Finance and Investment


Group Finance and Investment (GFI) is a trusted advisor to the Transport Cluster, and partners with our stakeholders to make all financial and funding considerations for our once-in-a-generation $71.5 billion infrastructure program.


We provide best in class financial services to support decision-making on transport services, infrastructure investment and delivery. GFI plays a critical role in project planning and funding, enterprise planning and financial management and control.

The opportunity


Right now, we have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Senior Manager to lead the Treasury team. The role manages the Treasury activities of the Transport Cluster with a view to optimise and enhance our financial capabilities in the delivery of business outcomes. The Senior Manager Treasury is responsible for Cluster cash forecasting and liquidity management, the development of financial risk mitigation strategies, maintaining the Cluster banking platform and to ensure that effective governance and compliance measures are adhered to.


Key accountabilities:


  • Management and continuous improvement of cash forecasting and liquidity management requirements for the Transport Cluster

  • Managing Transports approved cash Appropriation, Grant and Equity funding 

  • Analysing various scenarios and risks to brief the Executive with strategic options

  • Interest rate risk management and the development of risk mitigation strategies

  • Foreign exchange and Commodity risk management and development of risk mitigation strategies

  • Managing the Transport Custer banking platform and key relationships

  • Own and implement Transport’s Treasury Risk Management framework, polices and guidelines

About you


You are a qualified senior manager, with demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, with a passion to strategically lead, influence, promote and motivate highly skilled technical staff to deliver desired outcomes. 


You will have proven capacity to develop and implement effective Treasury policies, processes and systems including an understanding of current Treasury requirements and practices.


Your demonstrated experience working at a senior or executive level leading a treasury function in a complex matrix-based organisation and delivering specialist and authoritative advice to executive leadership will ensure you succeed in this role.
