The opportunity


Based at Macquarie Park, we have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Senior Officer Engagement and Education to join the Strategy and Engagement team in our SER division.


Reporting to the Manager Strategy and Engagement the primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement communication plans and educational content and materials that drive engagement, influence behaviours and supports our partners to establish strong partnerships with key audience groups.


This role sits within a newly developed team that has a digital focus and has a special emphasis on social media, website management and digital advertising websites.


This role will ensure that consistent, timely and seamless messaging reaches relevant stakeholders internally and externally the primary purpose of this role is to deliver critical stakeholder communications that inform, update and educate on business regulatory operations.

About you


  • You will possess tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • You will possess demonstrated experience in developing digital communication content, drafting strategic content, arranging meetings, assisting and supporting communication officers in preparing communications, drafting newsletters and leading the execution of engagement plans and educational content preferably within a customer focused environment.
  • You will be able to demonstrate high-level verbal and written communication skills
  • You will have the ability to communicate complex information in clearly and humanised way across various channels.
  • You will be conversant in using supporting technologies and have a working knowledge of social media software and open-source software such as Drupal for website management
  • You will be a strategic, innovate thinker who enjoys presenting solutions  to problems and come up with solutions
  • Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, you are capable of building and maintaining strong professional relationships with stakeholders as well as successfully managing your time and being able to deliver a range of support services, given tight deadlines across competing priorities.



Salary and benefits

This role is offered at Transport Grade 8 $120,423 - $134,872 plus superannuation and leave loading.
