In this role, you'll:

  • Safely carry out the trade activities and other duties relevant to maintaining The Sydney Harbour Bridge and surrounding road network.
  • Work effectively with other trades and skilled staff.
  • Work on general maintenance and construction activities.
  • Participate in all toolbox briefings and promote a safe working environment.

About you

We’re seeking a trade qualified carpenter with experience in a construction environment. You will have  excellent communication skills and enjoy working towards delivering results in a team environment.

 

You hold one of the following trades:

  • Carpenter and Joiner
  • Construction Carpenter
  • Bridge and Wharf Carpenter
  • Civil Engineering Construction Carpenter
  • Or equivalent and can work at heights or in confined spaces.

 

You can identify and report safety and environmental hazards in the workplace and rectify those without direction and report accordingly. You will also have the capability to achieve quality standards and follow established quality procedures within the scope of training provided in the role.

 

Finally, you hold a White Card, a current unrestricted driver’s licence, and able to work outside normal working hours and attend call outs when needed.

 

Working at heights (EWP), Rail Industry Worker(RIW), and confined space certification is ideal but not an essential requirement for the position.
