The Greater Sydney Division is redefining integrated transport choices to improve the lives of customers and communities, making Greater Sydney a better place to live, work and play.  

 

NSW is becoming more mobile and inter-connected than ever. The Planning and Programs branch lead the planning, prioritisation and delivery of current and future investments across the network, through evidence based decision making, supporting the changes required to translate Future Transport 2056 strategic objectives into customer and community outcomes across Greater Sydney.

  

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an opportunity for an Executive Coordinator (fixed term up until December 2022, with the potential for extension) to join the Technology Projects team within the Planning and Programs branch. Technology Projects are part of the Network Solutions section and lead the development and implementation of Smart Technology Programs to address problems and optimise opportunities on the network. The role provides executive support and coordination of high level business support services to ensure the efficient functioning of the Technology Projects team.

 

The role also provides strategic, high level, timely and confidential information, advice and support to the Director and Managers to ensure achievement of the branch’s goals and objectives.

 

The primary location for the role is Parramatta, with occasional requirements to attend other Transport for NSW offices including the Sydney CBD.  Transport for NSW supports flexible working arrangements.  Flexible working (working from home) is available to this role in consultation with the Director.

 

What you will be involved in 

  • Support in providing timely and well informed strategic advice to the Director Technology Projects on matters across all aspects of the team’s role and functions
  • Undertake research and prepare quality, accurate and often sensitive analyses, reports, briefings or positions papers to inform the Director Technology Projects, Section Director and Branch Executive Director
  • Assist with the identification and analysis of unresolved and/or emerging issues
  • Administrative support including secretariat functions, diary and email management

 

About you

 

You are a highly motivated Executive Coordinator, looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your executive level support, with a proven ability to exercise sound judgement, political sensitivity and strict confidentiality.

 

The ideal candidate will have ability to liaise with various stakeholders at all levels and ability to compile reports within a timely manner. Ideally, you also have a strong grasp of how to plan and coordinate various projects.

Salary and Benefits 

 

The salary for this position is Grade 8 ($118,015-$132,176) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
