The Planning and Programs division lead the planning, prioritisation and delivery of current and future investments across the network, through evidence based decision making, supporting the changes required to translate Future Transport 2056 strategic objectives into customer and community outcomes across Greater Sydney

  

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have an opportunity for a Project Support Officer (Land Use) to join the Land Use Assessment Eastern team within the Planning and Programs branch based in Parramatta (currently working from home). The role will see you supporting the Land Use Assessment Eastern team with the day-to-day project operation and administrative activities to support project specific and ongoing team related objectives. This includes working on land use business improvement initiatives, supporting and assisting the team working on land use development matters and development applications. You will assist the team in organising and running working groups, workshops, meetings and taking minutes as required.

 

What you will be involved in 

  • Coordinating activities for the team – meetings, minutes, following up on responses, keeping track of due dates and providing reminders, writing reports (including numerical or written form) and formulating or updating correspondence
  • Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables and assisting with draft responses; and
  • Any other work and activities as required to support the teams and the Senior Manager Land Use Assessment Eastern

 

About you

 

You are a proactive Project Support Officer, looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your experience handling various stakeholders across all levels including liaison with external councils and the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment.

 

You will be supporting a multi-disciplinary team of land use and transport planning professionals who assess land use development proposals across Greater Sydney. It will be highly beneficial to have experience and/or a background in land use planning or development within the NSW Government and/or Local Government, as well as proficient computing skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to interact with a web-based portal to run reporting packages.

Salary and Benefits 

 

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 6 ($94,879- $104,367) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
