About the Team

 

The Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

 

The Planning and Program function is to set the vision, lead change and focus on outcomes and benefits bringing the strategic priorities of Regional and Outer Metropolitan to life. We are delivering real impacts through design, delivery and management of multiple programs of varying scales and value, all driving the outcomes of Future Transport 2056.

The Opportunities

 

The Senior Program Officer contributes to the management, coordination and delivery of programs within Regional and Outer Metropolitan Division.

 

This is a fixed term opportunity until December 2023 to be a part of an innovative team that delivers for our regional customers and communities.

 

 

The Senior Program Officer contributes towards the following day to day responsibilities:

 

  • Contribute to a variety of aspects of program development and implementation across a portfolio of complex programs including input into business cases and plans and establishing appropriate governance, to ensure successful program management outcomes
  • Undertake engagement activities during the development, implementation, and review of programs to ensure understanding and ongoing program evaluation, to support successful program delivery.
  • Contribute to program outcomes by cultivating effective partnerships with key stakeholders, working collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment, and managing a complex and diverse external stakeholder management program including interstate jurisdictions and industry.

About You

 

  • You’re organised, proactive and accountable, thriving in a complex and high volume program environment.
  • You will need to contribute your program expertise, appropriate program methodology and standards knowledge in demonstrating initiatives to effectively underpin business operations which support successful program(s) delivery
  • You have a natural talent for building strong working relationships, and ability to influence by cultivating effective partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Looking for real influencers who understand program and multi-team functionality, as well as a wealth of research, data, analytical and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated political acumen and associated understanding of the nuances of public sector program development is highly desirable.
  • Your resilience will see you thrive in an ever-changing complex environment, to ensure successful program handover with clear accountabilities for defined business operations

Salary and Benefits

 

Grade 8 ($120,423 - $134,872) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading
