Senior Community and Customer Engagement Officer (Part time temporary opportunity up to 18 months)

In this role, you'll:
Join our Community and Customer Engagement North team where you will coordinate and deliver a range of internal and external communication and stakeholder engagement activities for road and infrastructure projects accross Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Central Coast regions.
You will be part of a team that works closely with internal project teams and external stakeholders such as local councils to manage the development and implementation of strategic and corporate communication strategies and
plans.
You wll be involved in high profile, community shaping projects that will impact the lives of those living in Regional NSW.
This is a temporary, part time position up to September 2026 and offers hybrid working from our Newcastle or Tuggerah offices. This is a job share opportunity offering 2 days per week which are flexible.

About you
You are a passionate communications and engagement professional with exposure to supporting road and/or infrastructure projects. You have a genuine desire to engage and partner with internal project teams and external stakeholders to deliver strategies for Regional NSW.
You are a natural communicator, who shows adaptability when dealing with multiple audiences and stakeholders, and your flair for influencing decision making positions you as an SME in your field. You build genuine, lasting relationships with those around you, and you put people at the heart by advocating for the communities you represent.
Your experience working on multiple large scale communications and engagement projects with complex stakeholder groups, tight deadlines and an ever-changing project landscape will set you up for success in this role.
