About the Team

 

The Safety, Environment and Regulation division upholds safety and sustainability in our transport system. We’re working to deliver globally-recognised, safe, sustainable transport for our people, customers and the community.

 

Within SER we have Regulatory Operations including the Customer Performance and Improvement team which achieves Safer System outcomes by delivering leadership and direction for the branch’s business operations, performance and continuous improvement. Within this team the Customer & Information Services team provide DRIVES assurance and Helpdesk Support.

 

 

The opportunity

 

Right now, we have a fixed term (To 31.1.2023) full-time Newcastle based opportunity for you to use your expert DRIVES experience to not only provide technical and procedural support to external business partners, you will be the super user of the DRIVES team providing assistance and advice to other DRIVES team members, resolving more complex matters and supporting the two Team Leaders.

 

In this role you will analyse, investigate and resolve system and application problems and identify anomalies associated with enhancements to the DRIVES system. You will provide Policy and Procedure advice on registration and licensing to other Officers to ensure efficient operation of the Drives Help Desk.

About you

 

We are looking for an excellent communicator with extensive DRIVES experience who has the ability to communicate well at all levels, from  team members to  external customers and a variety of stakeholders across other areas of the  business including policy and IT.

 

Your experience in analysing and interpreting policy and procedures and the ability to convey this in a clear and concise manner is essential as you assist external stakeholders but also assisting other team members.

 

You will be reliable, flexible, hardworking, diligent, knowledgeable,a true team player, motivated by team goals and team needs, by supporting the Team Leaders to ensure that this high performing team maintain the professional service which they provide.

 

Your superior customer service focus along  with  your DRIVES  years  of hands-on experience will provide you with what is needed to excel in this pivotal role which enables you to contribute to the overall safety of the  people of NSW.

 

 

Salary and Benefits

 

The salary for this position is USS Grade 7 ($94,824 - $100,075) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
