In this role, you'll:
Act as a site representative for Transport NSW as a part of our natural disaster recovery team. Acting as the key site representative on the Mt Victoria project is a Natural Disaster Recovery project.

Mt Victoria involves the stabilisation of 2 roadside slopes on the Great Western Highway on a section known as Mt Victoria Pass. Mt Victoria Pass is the gateway to the West from Sydney, carrying close to 12500 vehicles per day, and is a significant freight route.

As the Surveillance Officer will be responsible for onsite surveillance of the contractor and their activities, focusing on the aspects of quality, safety, traffic and environment. You will actively aid Transport for NSW to carry out slope remediation using soil nails, shotcrete, rock anchors and drape mesh.

Working closely with the Project Engineer to review project documents, carry out audits and oversee day to day activities on site. Note this is an onsite role.

Collaborate with our delivery partners, industry partners and internal stakeholders across engineering, environmental, technical, safety and quality to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.

 

This is a Fixed-Term role untill 09/10/2025.

About you

  • Extensive experience working in construction surveillance or experience working as a Civil / Concrete Construction Supervisor.
  • Strong understanding of form work and concrete principles
  • An understanding of TfNSW specifications and procedures preferably knowledgeable and comfortable working under transport specifications R64, R68, & B80
  • Previous experience on civil infrastructure projects, with a strong understanding of civil earthworks and or bridgeworks
  • Ability to work a night shift roster Sunday to Thursday nights (7pm - 5am)
  • Hold an Australian drivers’ licence
