In this role, you'll:
Be joining the Planning, Integration and Passenger division and assisting in the development and delivery of a full range of effective internal and external strategic stakeholder engagement services and programs for the Central River City area, covering Canterbury, Bankstown, George’s River and Sutherland Shire.
 

Further responsibilities include:

  • Develop, coordinate, deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of a range of events, workshops and stakeholder consultation activities.
  • Partner with other members of the wider place/project communication teams to implement communications plan activities to time, cost and expectations.
  • Coordinate daily media activities and track ministerial correspondence to ensure the team delivers prompt and timely responses.


This is a temporary, full time position up to 30 June 2025 and offers hybrid working. This hybrid arrangement will require the successful person to regularly attend our Parramatta office, take part in engagement activities off-site, and work some days from home.

About you
You will have a high attention to detail, be comfortable with repetitive, yet critical tasks, and excel at managing milestones to stay on track. You must be a self-starter who is comfortable with more routine activities. As a Communications professional, you will ideally have previous experience working in an operational setting and are adept at interpreting and translating technical information into clear, accessible content for a range of stakeholders.

Impeccable written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of communications campaigns for our customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to gather, analyse, and present complex information, monitor emerging trends and issues, and identify and address risks to achieve business outcomes. Additionally, you should be proactive in identifying process improvements and contributing to their implementation.
