Construction Surveillance Officer - Level 2

In this role, you'll:
Become a key connection between Transport for NSW and our valued contractors on the Richmond Bridge Stage 1 project.
Working together you'll enhance safety around the intersection, build flood resilience in the area an improved traffic travel time.
The project will encompass bridge and civil works upgrading two major intersections and completing utilities adjustments.
You will be instrumental in constructing a new roundabout and bridge over waterway.
You will undertake surveillance and utilise your expertise to identify potential issues and non-conforming works, quality assurance, offering technical and on-site guidance crucial to supporting both the surveillance function and the project implementation teams.
You will join a small and dedicated project team to effectively deliver this project under tight time constraints.
Attend daily pre-starts, report on project progress and complete quality / safety / environmental surveillance.
Collaborate with our delivery partners, industry partners and internal stakeholders across engineering, environmental, technical, safety and quality to ensure the successful delivery of project outcomes.

About you
Previous experience working in construction as either as a Surveillance Officer or a Civil Construction Supervisor.
Demonstrated experience on infrastructure projects, in particular bridge and civil earthworks.
You will have a strong understanding of utilities relocation.
You have well developed knowledge including technical aspects of materials, equipment, quality and safety in construction.
You are highly organised with a real eye for detail, and you can prioritise your workload while juggling competing deadlines.
You possess excellent communication skills, and you are familiar with working within a fast paced, complex, and demanding project environment.
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to support project and business requirements.
Hold a valid driver’s licence.
