You'll tackle challenges head-on, utilising your technical expertise to build sustainable, innovative, and resilient solutions from start to finish. 

 


In this role, you'll:


be responsible for providing technical, environmental, contract and project management support in the development and implementation of road and slope construction and maintenance projects to meet time, cost, quality and scope in accordance with client requirements.

The Project Officer will also be responsible for:

• Supporting Project Managers and Project Engineers to achieve business outcomes by providing project management support and technical support for the development and construction of projects.

• Supporting Works Supervisors to achieve the delivery of projects by coordinating and determining the resources necessary for project completion, in a timely and cost-effective manner.

• Conducting surveillance of contractor sites to ensure safety, environmental and quality requirements are met.

• Administering TfNSW safety, quality and environmental requirements.

• Conduct contract administration and project specific tasks to assist in the successful development and delivery of projects.

This is a fixed term full-time role up to 30 June 2025 located at Port Macquarie.

About you


You have appropriate trade or tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant, equivalent professional experience in road and bridge construction and maintenance.

You are a self-starter who is able to hit the ground running. You are able to think creatively to solve problems and find solutions. You’re flexible and proactive and use your initiative and organisational skills to get things done.

You have experience working on your own and in teams to tight deadlines and have a successful track record in delivering great customer experience outcomes.

You use your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to proactively build strong relationships with an array of internal and external stakeholders.

Project management skills and knowledge of road maintenance and construction will be highly regarded as will any qualifications in Safety, Environment and/or Quality.

You hold a current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver’s licence.

You may be required to work outside normal working hours or to travel on occasion.
