In this role, you'll:
Play a key part in managing risks to important infrastructure, improving safety and security for communities and helping to strengthen the resilience of transport networks across NSW. You’ll be responsible for developing security strategies, driving initiatives to build capabilities, and working closely with stakeholders to ensure the safety of customers and TfNSW operations.

You'll stay on top of both local and global security trends, keeping the team informed about any emerging risks. You'll also track security incidents and intelligence, offering valuable insights and reports to guide decision-making. Building and maintaining strong relationships with law enforcement, transport providers, private motorways and other key partners will be essential to your success in this role.

About you
A background in protective security management is highly regarded, along with the ability to work collaboratively with designers and apply both project management and security principles across complex projects. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a solid understanding of relevant security regulations, standards, and best practices. You should be capable of bridging technical and strategic security needs to support effective coordination across teams.

A relevant tertiary qualification from an Australian university, or an equivalent overseas qualification, is required, along with significant experience managing critical infrastructure resilience or high-value assets. You must hold a valid Australian driver’s licence and be willing to work outside standard hours and travel when necessary. The role also requires a demonstrated ability to support the effective and consistent delivery of Applications Support services by adhering to technical standards, operational policies, and procedures to meet service level targets.
