In this role, you'll:


Work as part of a team that provides a wide range of  mechanical stream skills and competencies to achieve project completion time, within budget to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of Rail Equipment Centre goals.
 
You will involve in manufacturing, repairing, refurbishing signalling equipment and other components that is used throughout the Sydney Trains network.
 
This is a permanent full time role based at Strathfield onsite with opportunities for overtime and one ADO over a 28 day period. Standard shift times 7.15am to 3.45pm Mon to Fri.

About you


Demonstrated experience in mechanical fitting and machining – Conventional and CNC machine tools, preferably from heavy engineering background and in a production environment.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret engineering drawings.

Certificate 3 in Mechanical trade.
 
Any or all of the below skills are highly desirable.


Knowledge in application of protective coating/painting, Knowledge of Welding, Fork Lift License, basic understanding of electrical components, Knowledge or experience in Pneumatics and water jet profile cutting experience.
