In this role:
 
As part of the Communication & Workplaces enabling division, you will report to the Executive Director Culture & Capability and be an integral part of our newly established Branch Leadership Team. In this critical role you will ensure we build partnerships and relationships with the Deputy Secretary, the Transport Executive cohort and the divisional and agency leadership teams to provide advice and expertise, along with design, develop and deliver ongoing programs that drive a respectful culture, behaviours and employee engagement to facilitate a healthy, diverse and inclusive workplace. 
 
You and your team will:

 

  • Support organisational outcomes by developing, monitoring and measuring impacts or programs and initiatives to drive the desired culture.

 

  • Provision of expert advisory services on discrimination, harassment, psychosocial hazards and diversity and inclusion matters.

 

  • Develop initiatives to support workforce education, legislative compliance and risk management on legal obligations.

 

  • Be accountable for monitoring and reporting on compliance of anti-discrimination, inclusion and diversity obligations.

 

  • Establish a range of frameworks and controls to manage risk of psychosocial hazards.

 

  • Lead and manage the People Matter Employee Survey (PMES), ensuring that insights and strategic directions are developed, we underpin strategy development through this survey, and that results are translated into actionable items.

 

  • Drive the development and delivery of the Wellbeing, D&I and Discrimination & Harassment programs. Ensure that key objectives are met and behaviour change is achieved.

About you  
 
You are a tertiary qualified diversity and inclusion leader with a deep understanding and knowledge of relevant diversity and safety legislation and policy, preferably with a strong legal or human rights background. You:
 

  • Are a strategic thinker and outcomes focused.

 

  • Bring deep experience, insight and knowledge of employee wellbeing and diversity and inclusion consultation and education.

 

  • Understand how to get things done in a government setting. 

 

  • Bring deep experience using different employee listening techniques, including survey design, focus workshops and qualitative/quantitative analysis.

 

  • Bring proven experience delivering programs which support a thriving workforce culture.

 

  • Bring demonstrated experience dealing with executive stakeholders and the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
