Join our Finance, Technology & Commercial enabling division that provides group finance, investment & assurance, financial sustainability, PMO & enablement, group technology, commercial and procurement functions to Transport for NSW. Reporting to the Executive Director Group Finance you will be an integral part of our newly established Divisional Leadership Team. In this role you will lead the newly formed Finance Systems and Reporting team which provides financial performance reporting, oversees and manages financial systems, and enables and facilitates analytics and insights through visualisation tools and techniques. You will deliver the finance systems strategy, including consideration of emerging technologies to drive efficiencies across Group Finance and support data-driven decision-making.
In addition, you will:
- Develop and implement transformative, enterprise-wide finance systems projects.
- Lead the automation of finance processes and the simplification and improvement of financial performance reporting.
- Track and report the benefits of the projects in scope.
- Lead and manage strategic planning of our finance systems and the integration into the broader technology landscape.
- Lead the organisation to ways in which we can create financial insights through our data.

About You
- You will have demonstrated experience in large and complex organisations developing, leading, and driving financial performance reporting.
- You will have demonstrated experience in setting finance systems strategy and translating this strategy into actionable programs and outcomes.
- You bring experience leading teams through change and setting team culture.
- You are an influencer and thought leader in delivering advice within the organisation.
- You bring a customer-focused, technology mindset and experience.
- You bring strong quantitative analysis experience and skills.
- You are experienced in creating, delivering and maintaining clear outcomes focused finance systems frameworks across a large-scale organisation.
- You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.
- You are experienced in reporting to executive level.
- You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
- You are experienced in building, developing and leading high performing teams.
- You embrace a delivery mindset.
