Director Government Business & Services

You’re excited by the opportunity to consolidate, streamline and enhance the delivery of government services.

You’re ready to shape and strengthen relationships between Transport for NSW divisions and the Government and Parliamentary Services Branch.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead the development of our tactical Centre of Expertise managing and delivering all Government Services as a single, end-to-end value chain.

• Transform your team into a value adding partner by fostering a customer focused mindset and building capability to anticipate stakeholder needs and deliver impactful solutions.

• Lead the development and delivery of high-quality government services products (eg. ministerial briefs, response to Parliamentary Questions, and correspondence), ensuring timeliness and alignment with Transport’s strategic objectives

• Build and manage strong partnerships with all client divisions across Transport to deliver integrated, end-to-end government business support services.

• Act as the voice for all internal stakeholders within Government & Parliamentary Services

• Champion reform initiatives to consolidate and standardise government and parliamentary service functions, driving consistency and excellence across Transport.

• Design and implement innovative systems and processes that optimise operations, enhance collaboration and reduce manual handling in line with government priorities.

• Set vision and purpose for your team with a focus on empowerment, and employee engagement.

About you

You are an influential leader with extensive experience in government operations, parliamentary processes and strategic reform.

You have experience building relationships with Ministers and their staff, government offices and other teams across government.

You excel at navigating in politically sensitive environments, driving operational efficiency and aligning your teams’ efforts to government objectives.

You are someone who puts the client and the centre, writes with the end-audience in mind, understands the bigger picture but also focuses on the detail; in our world, words matter and can have an enduring impact.

With a collaborative and innovative mindset, you’ll thrive on consolidating functions and leveraging technology to find efficiencies.

You’re adept at empowering teams and inspiring others to embrace change including new and more efficient ways of working. You’re ready to make a lasting impact and lead government business and support excellence.
