An exciting new opportunity has emerged with the role of Director Transport Projects Readiness within the Sydney Trains Rail Operations branch. This is a high-profile strategic leadership role that will lead and manage the development, delivery and business integration of the Transport for NSW (TfNSW) led projects that impact Sydney Trains.

 

 

In this role, you'll:

Report to the Executive Director Rail Operations, and as the key interface for TfNSW projects, some of your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • The operational integration for TfNSW projects, including advising TfNSW projects on the requirements of Sydney Trains.
  • Representing Sydney Trains on TfNSW/Sydney Metro governance forums.
  • Ensuring best practice processes are provided in the delivery of safe, successful, and compliant programs on time, on budget and to the quality expected to operate and maintain reliable and efficient passenger train services.
  • Define and execute program management plans to meet scope, project scheduling, time, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Negotiating funding for Sydney Trains resources on TfNSW/Sydney Metro projects.
  • Lead the development of and manage detailed program budget and forecasted cashflows.
  • Manage the change and readiness of the projects through co-ordination across Sydney Trains, ensuring programs and projects are delivered and integrated into the operating environment.
  • Manage the delivery of designated infrastructure works.
  • Lead the business integration for TfNSW projects into Sydney Trains branches and supporting the design, development, and implementation of the program.

  • You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.
