Reporting to the Executive Director Financial Accounting and Control you will be an integral part of our the Senior leadership team. In this new role you will lead the Treasury and Insurance team which is responsible for the treasury, banking and insurance functions across Transport for NSW.
 
You will:

 

  • Provide and manage expert advice on complex and high-level treasury and insurance related matters.

 

  • Manage the placement and advisory across general lines, liability, workers compensation and constructions risk insurance across Transport agencies.

 

  • Develop, lead and manage treasury, banking and insurance frameworks and policies and ensure consistent application across the Transport Portfolio agencies. 

 

  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Transport portfolio agencies insurance coverage.

 

  • Manage external banking and insurance relationships.

 

  • Lead and manage the preparation of internal, external reporting and compliance submissions for treasury, banking and insurance matters for all Transport portfolio agencies.

About You
  

  • You will have demonstrated experience in a large, complex organisation developing, leading, and driving banking, treasury and insurance matters.

 

  • You will have demonstrated experience managing liquidity, and preferably experience managing cashflow in large infrastructure build environments.

 

  • You bring strong experience leading teams through change and setting team culture.

 

  • You are an influencer and thought leader in delivering advice within an organisation.

 

  • You are experienced in creating, delivering and maintaining clear outcomes focused finance frameworks across a large scale organisation.

 

  • You will understand the balance of addressing customer requirements whilst adhering to other regulatory, policy, government and operational conditions.

 

  • You have strong experience reporting to executive level.

 

  • You have the ability to articulate complex concepts and put forward compelling arguments and rationales to all levels and types of audiences.

 

  • You are experienced in building, developing and leading high performing teams.
