In this role, you'll:

 

Join the TFNSW Infrastructure Projects & Engineering Division (IPE), within the Commercial Performance & Optimisation Team on an exciting, Permanent, Executive Director opportunity.

 

You will be responsible for providing strategic commercial leadership for projects in delivery, ensuring robust commercial governance and value-driven outcomes. The role oversees the development and execution of commercial strategies, contract negotiations and risk management to support the successful delivery of infrastructure and transport initiatives.

 

You will lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies that optimise value, mitigate risks and support the successful development of infrastructure projects; whilst establishing and implementing and robust commercial governance structure to support project decision making and alignment with organisational objectives.

 

You will take charge on complex contract negotiations, securing commercially sound outcomes through effective risk allocation, performance incentives, and contractual protections that support long-term project success; and provide expert leadership in dispute resolution and claims management, supporting the resolution of commercial issues in a timely, strategic, and cost-effective manner to protect project and organisational interests.

 

The remuneration for this position is within the TSSE 2A Band ($287k to $338k inclusive of super). This is a Permanent Executive Director opportunity where you can leave your footprint in the business and gain valuable exposure at a senior executive level. You will need to have strong leadership capability, as well as proven negotiation skills at a senior executive level.

About you

 

Extensive knowledge and experience in commercial construction management and performance delivery.

 

Significant stakeholder management expertise at a senior executive level.

 

Demonstrated commercial management expertise and a proven track record of navigating through complex processes at a senior executive level.

 

Demonstrated senior executive leadership experience with a proven ability to drive performance in complex politically and commercially sensitive environments.

 

Demonstrated ability in leading and motivating a team of specialist staff, facilitating their ongoing professional development, and maximising their performance to deliver optimal outcomes.

 

Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated relevant and equivalent professional experience.
