In this role, you'll:
Join our Sydney metro team in the health and safety function where you will contribute to mega infrastructure projects that will form our transport landscape for generations.

 

Reporting to the Executive Director of Health and Safety, you will facilitate the execution and monitoring of strategic plans and support the successful delivery of improvement initiatives and regulatory and compliance activities.

 

Key focus areas will include:

  • Custodian of an integrated H&S functional action register.
  • Support RIM accreditation and RSW management activities.
  • Support Health & Safety reporting.
  • Coordinate & prepare for Health & Safety governance forums.
  • Facilitate requests for Health & Safety data & analytics.
  • Lead records governance and knowledge management for the function.
  • Support Health & Safety strategy & improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate ways of working and manage a comms platform for the Health & Safety leadership team.

 

This is a fixed term opportunity until 31/12/2026.

About you
Your demonstrated experience in supporting a Health and Safety management function in a large complex multi-disciplined environment, will accompany your project coordination, process improvement, problem solving skills and ability to think independently.

You’re recognised as having the experience and skills to scope out a problem and come up with a solution as well as having experience in a health and safety environment.

 

You are stakeholder focused and you are highly organised, with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workflow in a fast-paced environment whilst being able to deliver quality outputs.
Previous experience in health and safety and exposure to rail safety is a requirement for this role. Experience in managing or coordinating agile projects would also help you to succeed in this role.
